In 2018, after a visit to 42 Paris, John-Alexander Bogaerts and Ian Gallienne decided to launch this project in Brussels. Faced with the high youth unemployment rate and the growing demand for technological skills, their initiative emerged as an innovative solution.
Campus19 became the first Belgian campus of the 42 network, a revolutionary educational model that trains top-level coders.
From the start, the project was supported by an influential network of sponsors, with a dual goal: promoting employment for young adults over 18 and driving digital transformation in Belgium.
The involvement of 15 sponsors from major Belgian companies and foundations goes beyond funding the school, they support the digital transformation in Belgium and provide concrete career opportunities to the talents trained at Campus19.
In addition to offering cutting-edge training, Campus19 aims to be open to all and to create a diverse student community from various social and professional backgrounds. This diversity enriches exchanges and fosters a unique collaborative learning environment, where every individual journey contributes to collective growth.
Since its creation, Campus19 has helped 279 young people secure jobs and offered 137 internships.
Located in the heart of Brussels, the capital of Europe, Campus19 is located in the BeCentral building, one of the main digital hubs in Europe and benefits from a rich and diverse environment, making it a key player in Belgium’s tech ecosystem and a driving force for opportunities for young talent.
