Back in 2019, Kim JongHun worked with the Korean government to establish 42 Seoul, the first campus in our network to reach Asia. Passionate about computer science and education, he has dedicated himself to the school. Engaging in meaningful conversation with his staff and students, Kim JongHun upholds the core values of 42. As we move further into the digital age, he looks forward to building a community of professionals who carry the spirit of 42 with them as they advance in their careers.

42 Warsaw: Creating a Community of Learners in the Polish Capital!

Having opened its doors to students for the first time towards the end of 2023, 42 Warsaw is one of the network’s most recent campuses. In spite of initial skepticism from business executives and academics alike regarding the educational model, the campus managed to attract a sizable student population and to successfully run its first two Piscines. With those successes in the bag, the ambition is now to embed the campus in the local tech, educational and business ecosystems, and to create a diverse yet strong community of learners in the Polish capital.

After over 25 years spent working in the education sector, Oktawia Gorzenska spear-headed the launch of 42 Warsaw. From the campus’ early stages in May 2023 to her departure earlier this month, she reflects on the whole year she spent building the campus from the bottom up.
