Now at the head of 42 Firenze, she aims to turn her campus into a hotspot for Italian tech talent, while nurturing her students’ vocations.

Renowned for its rich cultural and historical heritage, Florence is one of Europe’s most visited cities. With landmarks such as the Cathedral of Santa Maria del Fiore, the Michelangelo square or world-famous museums such as the Uffizi gallery, it also boasts an unparalleled architectural wealth. Thus, it does not come as a surprise that 42 Firenze is located in a prominent historical building of the city-center. Having been in operation for over 2 years, this campus aims to provide new coding education opportunities in Italy, and more specifically in Tuscany, the region around Florence.

Back in 2019, 42 first landed in Brazil, in the bustling city of São Paulo. A key partner of the 42 São Paulo campus since then is none other than the largest bank in Latin America: Itaú! We sat down with Gabriel Pegorelli, one of the people of Itaú following the 42 São Paulo project closely, to ask him what motivated Itaú’s decision to partner up with and support a 42 campus.
