42 São Paulo: Radical education. Real people. Relevant impact.

42 São Paulo was born with a simple and ambitious mission: to transform access to technology in Brazil. In a country where quality education is still a privilege, we created a space that’s free, open 24/7, and built for talent, where no one needs permission to learn.
Since 2019, we’ve received over 40,000 applications, graduated 203 students, and currently host 316 active cadets. Over the past six years, more than 440 students have received need-based financial aid, allowing them to stay in the program alongside their peers. The journey here is tough, but the door is open.
42 São Paulo doesn’t just teach code. We help people develop the ability to listen, to solve complex problems, and to collaborate with those who think differently. Because what sets someone apart in the job market isn’t just what they know: it’s what they can build with what they know.
And building human skills is part of our curriculum, too. Through empathy workshops, Coding Dojo sessions, and regular community-building events, we create space for trust, connection, and shared growth. Students don’t just study here, they belong to something bigger.
Speaking of the market: 42 São Paulo has also become a trusted partner for companies seeking real-world-ready talent. Through Co.Lab, our students take on innovation and development projects inside companies. And with our short-term programs, like AI for Productivity, Python, Web Security, Machine Learning, and Cloud (AWS), we’ve expanded our reach to other profiles and contexts.

None of this would be possible without the support of our partners. Itaú, one of the largest financial institutions in Latin America and a major force in the Southern Hemisphere, along with Fundación Telefónica Vivo and Fundação Telles, have been with us since day one, backing a model that’s free for students and built to meet the highest standards of the tech industry.
Today, 42 São Paulo is led by Leila Von Dreifus (CEO), alongside co-founders Karen Kanaan and Luiz Mantovani. Together, they’re building a school where no one needs to fit in, because everyone belongs. At 42 São Paulo, we don’t just prepare people for the future. We put the future in their hands.
