BREAKING NEWS: 42 Ranks 3rd Worldwide for Innovation

42 has just been ranked the 3rd most innovative educational institution in the world in the 2025 WURI Rankings, a historic first for our network.

🥉 42 Reaches Global Innovation Podium
We’re proud to share that 42 has been named the 3rd most innovative educational institution in the world in the recent 2025 WURI Rankings, surpassing world renowned institutions such as MIT, Stanford, and UPenn. This remarkable achievement highlights the global impact of 42’s disruptive, student-centered approach to education, a model that challenges conventional academic norms and empowers learners through autonomy, collaboration, and peer-learning, through a project-based approach.

Not only is this a major global acknowledgment, but it also marks a three-place rise from last year, making this 42’s first-ever appearance on the global innovation podium. It’s a powerful recognition of how far we’ve come, and how much our model is resonating around the world.

🚀 What’s the WURI ranking?
Unlike traditional rankings based on legacy metrics like research publications, endowments, or faculty credentials, the WURI (World’s Universities with Real Impact) rankings focus on innovation, relevance, and social contribution of each institution. They spot establishments that are rethinking education from the ground up, exactly what 42 was built to do.

That’s why ranking 3rd in the world is more than just a number. It’s a genuine validation of 42’s excellence and our commitment to doing things differently—breaking from tradition to build a future-ready, accessible, and empowering model of education.

🤝 One Ranking, Collective Achievement
This milestone belongs to the entier 42 community. To the students who challenge themselves on daily basis, the staff and partners who support and scale this movement, and the 50+ campuses around the world who bring 42’s vision to life both on the local and the global level.

This recognition is a milestone, but also a reminder of what we’re building together. By challenging the status quo and staying true to our values, 42 is proving that a different way of learning is not only possible, it’s leading the way.
